Meeting Types
When a meeting is said to be 'open' or 'closed' this is
an indication of who is allowed to attend it and has nothing to do
with whether the meeting is is either cancelled, discontinued, or
still running.

Any member of the public can attend an Open Meeting. You do not have
to be an alcoholic, nor have a drinking problem to attend an open
meeting.

| Closed |
Closed meetings are exclusively for those who admit they are
alcoholics or those who think they may have a drinking problem.

| Both/Either |
When a meeting is indicated as being both open or closed, it means that on some weeks, it is open,
others closed, usually depending on which week of the month of it is. Check
the meeting's details to which weeks in each month it is open or closed.

| Discontinued |
The meeting is no longer held or is suspended until further notice. |
| Cancelled |
Typically indicates that the meeting is temporarily
suspended, usually just for a given day, but otherwise is continuing
to operate. |
| Service |
A service meeting, from the point of view of those attending it, is like any other meeting;
they can be open or closed, and have the same kinds of formats and structure of regular meetings.
The difference is
that a service meeting is run by a committee of volunteers or sponsored by a group, unlike regular
meetings which are run by a group that has a membership and a more formal organizational structure. |
